🏛️ Depute at City Hall

Speaking directly to decision-makers — sharing data, stories, and solutions.

because change doesn’t wait for voting age.

What is a Deputation?

A deputation is a short, public statement to a committee or board about an agenda item. It’s a way to put youth perspectives into the official record — and to offer concrete fixes that make daily life better.

Examples from my work

Faster, Fairer Transit: RapidTO on Bathurst & Dufferin

Spoke to Toronto’s Executive Committee about delays on the 511 Bathurst streetcar and called for RapidTO lanes up to Eglinton to improve reliability and access.

Expand, Don’t Cut Public Transit — TTC Board

Spoke to the TTC Board urging expansion of transit services instead of cuts — emphasizing the need for reliability and accessibility for youth, seniors, and essential workers.

Infrastructure Committee — Say Yes to Commercial Parking Levy and Other Revenue Ideas

Presented data and lived experience to support expansion of protected bike lanes citywide — connecting cycling to public health, safety, and climate resilience.

Budget Committee — Budgeting is a Tool to Improve Lives of People – Use it to Maximize Public Good

My favourite subject is math. Yet, I do not see Budgeting as a number exercise. I see Budgeting as a TOOL to improve the lives of people in Toronto.
