🗳️ Meet Your Representative

Introduce yourself, share local evidence, and build a relationship with the people who shape your city.

because change doesn’t wait for voting age.

What is Meeting Your Representative?

A respectful conversation with an elected leader — Councillor, Mayor, or MPP/MP — to share concerns and solutions. Remember: your school, park, or library might be in a different ward, so meet those representatives too.

How You Can Do It Too

  1. Email or call your representative with a clear topic and ask for 15 minutes of their time.
  2. Bring facts, photos, or youth stories to illustrate the issue clearly and positively.
  3. Follow up politely with a thank-you note and reflect on what you learned from the meeting.
